Why did my payment fail?

Updated today

When your payment fails, you'll see a notification in the widget explaining what happened and what you can do next.

There are many possible reasons for a failed payment — some are technical, others may be related to your bank or security checks designed to protect your transaction.

🔍 Common reasons for failed payments

Here are some of the most frequent causes:

  • Bank blocked the transaction

Some banks automatically block cryptocurrency-related payments as a precaution. You may need to contact your bank to confirm the transaction.

  • 3D Secure (OTP) failed or wasn't completed

If you didn’t receive or confirm the one-time passcode from your bank, the transaction can't be authorized. Please contact your bank or card issuer — they can help identify the issue and ensure OTPs are delivered and approved correctly.

  • You exceeded your card's daily transaction limit

Some cards have daily spending caps. Try again later or contact your bank to raise the limit.

  • You used an expired bank card

Double-check that your card’s expiration date is still valid.

  • Insufficient funds

Ensure your card has enough balance for the payment, including any additional fees.

  • Technical error or browser issue

A slow internet connection or pop-up blockers can interrupt the payment flow. Try refreshing the page or using a different browser (we recommend Google Chrome).
