1. Adding a new card
You can link multiple cards to your Wert profile — the exact number depends on your verification status.
✅ Up to 3 cards — if you haven't completed document-based KYC
✅ Up to 5 cards — if you have completed document-based KYC
If you haven’t reached the card limit for your profile, you can simply add a new card during checkout — it will be saved automatically after attempting a transaction.
2. Replacing a card
Wert currently doesn’t offer an in-app way to remove or replace cards manually.
If you would like to change the cards stored on your profile and you haven't completed document KYC, you will be required to verify your ID documents first.
If you have completed document KYC and have 5 cards associated with your profile but would like to replace one of these, you will need to send an email to [email protected] with the following:
The phone number associated with your Wert profile
The last 4 digits of the card you would like to remove
The amount of the last transaction you made
A selfie of you with the card you would like to add
In the selfie, you will need to ensure that the name on the card, expiry date and the last 4 digits of the card number are clearly visible, but you should hide the rest of the digits to ensure that your data stays safe.
3. Removing a card
Removing a card is only available if you’ve completed document-based KYC.
Once your identity is verified, you can request a card removal by sending us a selfie of you holding the card you wish to remove.
Please make sure the name, expiry date, and last 4 digits are clearly visible in the photo, and cover the rest of the card number.
After receiving your request, our team will manually remove the card from your profile.
ℹ️ Note: for security reasons, we can only remove one card per selfie. If you’d like to remove multiple cards, please include a selfie with each card you want us to unlink from your profile.
Frequently Asked Questions
1) I made a mistake in my card details — how can I fix it?
At the moment, it's not possible to edit the details of a saved card.
If you entered incorrect information when adding a card, you’ll need to remove the card (with help from our support team) and then re-add it manually with the correct details during your next transaction.
2) I want to remove a card, but it's digital / I've lost the physical card. How can I provide a selfie?
If the card is digital or no longer in your possession, we understand a selfie may not be possible.
In that case, we require valid proof that the card belongs to you. This can include:
A card confirmation PDF from your bank (for some banks, this can be downloaded directly in their mobile app)
An email confirmation for the application of the new card, showing:
Your full name
The last 4 digits of the card
Ideally sent to the same email used for your Wert profile
Or another document from your bank that confirms ownership of the card
